About the event

International chess forum Moscow 2026 will be held on July 15-19 at Irina Viner Palace and organized by Moscow City Department of sport together with Moscow city chess federation.

The forum program will include 4 tournaments: stages of the Russian Cup among men and women, open competitions among boys and girls under 11, 13, 17 years old, as well as the All-Star tournament with the participation of Sergey Karjakin and Ernesto Inarkiev.

More than 1,000 athletes from different countries will traditionally take part in the forum.

Please note that parents of the players will be able to follow the progress of the matches on the seats for spectators on the second floor and will not be allowed into the tournament area.

Additional program

The Moscow 2026 Forum will include an additional program for guests:

  • games commentary;
  • rapid chess and blitz tournaments;
  • board game area;
  • floor chess pieces.

Dance troupes and actress, singer and blogger Anna Nemchenko will perform at the opening ceremony on July 19. Dmitry Guberniev will host.

An all-Russian referee seminar will also be held as part of the forum.
